Dhamra: Five eminent teachers who contributed for the spread of education and intellectual growth of students in their respective localities around Dhamra Port periphery were honoured with “Guru Samman” award by Adani Foundation.
At a function organised in the port premises today, the five veteran teachers were honoured with citations and shawls by Chief Executive Officer Sh. Subrat Tripathy and Head of Corporate Affairs Sh. Meeth Mehta. The five teachers, Sh. Harihar Dash (Dhamra),Sh. Sahadev Kumar Maity (Dosinga), Sh. Prafulla Kumar Panda (Dosinga), Sh. SaratPati Maity (Karanjmal), Sh. SukumarHati (Karanjmal).
Though all these teachers have retired from Govt. services, yet they are involved with various organisations in various forms to ensure growth of education in their respective areas. They had struggle hard running from pillar to post to get financial help and official recognition for the educational institutions which they had founded in remote parts of the Bhadrak district. Some of these teachers have also adopted innovative ways of supporting meritorious students through merit scholarship and similar other means. During the programmes teachers of Adani DAV Public school and port officials present to witness the event.
