Angul: Joining the Directorate of Factories & Boilers, Odisha & Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) has developed Advance Action in Industries to Abate Accidents (AAINAA) at its Coke Oven Plant in Angul. This has been inaugurated recently by Dy. Director of Factories & Boilers, Angul Shri AK Naik during his visit to the Plant.
Shri Naik also conducted a detailed inspection of the Steel Plant as part of Central Inspection Coordination Group, Odisha (CICG) activity. He appreciated the JSPL’s effort in building a safety culture in the Plant and also shared some new suggestions.
During his inspection visit, Shri AK Naik inaugurated AAINAA (Advance Action in Industries to Abate Accidents) developed in Coke Oven plant. AAINAA is a part of Strategy and Road Map for Reduction of Industrial Accident in the State by Directorate of Factories & Boilers, Odisha. Under this, factories with license manpower of more than 250 needs to put extra efforts to develop pockets of well-maintained ideal work place. In this model section of the factory, the plant equipment, housekeeping, machine guarding, electrical wiring, means of approach, exit, color coding, illumination, safety signage etc would maintained properly in complying with the provisions of Statue and applicable codes to inspire employees to replicate the model in the entire factory. He also addressed the workers on safety guidelines and administered Safety Oath on the occasion.
JSPL’s Executive Director Shri Hridayeshwar Jha thanked the Dy Director (F&B) Shri Naik for his visit and suggestions. ‘Safety First for JSPL ‘ said Mr Jha and shared JSPL’s commitment for improving the health and safety of workers in the Plant
Shri Damodar Mittal (Factory Manager), Shri Atul Dubey (HOD-SMS), Shri R. K . Sabat (HOD-Coke Oven), Shri J. K. Kundoo (HOD-DRI Plant) and Shri Navin Gautam (HOD-Safety), were also present on the occasion.
