Bhubaneswar: At 31st Freedom Fighters Mahotsav, At 31st Freedom Fighters Mahotsav, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik hailed freedom fighters for their immense contribution to Indian freedom struggle. Highlights from his speech at the event:
• Tribute to former Chief Minister & freedom fighter Dr Harekrushna Mahatab on his death anniversary.
• Indian Freedom Movement virtually changed the fundamental principles of struggle against oppression and tyranny, empowering people all over the world to use non-violence as a potent weapon to fight oppressive regimes
• State Government committed towards social security and all-round welfare of freedom fighters; Freedom Fighters’ pension revised from April, 2017
During the observation, Chief Minister Shri Patnaik inaugurated a photo exhibition based on the life of Dr Harekrushna Mahatab.
