Among the 117 Indian athletes participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics starting July 26, 24 are service personnel. This group includes 22 men, such as star javelin thrower Subedar Neeraj Chopra, and 2 women. The Defence Ministry notes that this will mark the first time two women military personnel will be part of the Indian contingent.
