Centurion University Commemorates The 3rd International Yoga Day At Centurion School Of Yoga

 

Bhubaneswar: On 21st June 2017, when the whole world celebrates the 3rd International Yoga Day, Centurion University and Gram Tarang commemorates it with grandeur.

The programme, lasting about an hour was conducted under the supervision of chief mentor, Mr. Siba Kripa Bose. The event included of the benefits of yoga and demonstration of the important asanas, a talk on and postures. The programme was arranged to raise awareness of yoga in all its aspects, both for the uninitiated as well as practitioners.

Yoga, which is a discipline developed and practiced since pre-Vedic times in India, has gradually found recognition worldwide as an exceptionally effective method to improve the health of body, mind and sprit. The International Yoga Day, has been established under the aegis of the United Nations.

Prof. Haribandhu Panda, Vice Chancellor, Centurion University said “Yoga helps us to dissolve the veil that covers our True self. Therefore, in the end, you will see that we are only uncovering that which is already there. That is the true state of Yoga. Let each day, and each breath here at the International Yoga Day and beyond be dedicated towards achieving such awakening.”

Dr. Supriya Pattanayak, Dy. Vice Chancellor Centurion University, Mr. Abhinav Madan, Managing Director, Gram Tarang, Prof. Jagannath Padhi Director, CUTM-Jatni Campus, were present for the event.

Students along with faculty members of the University had turned out on the Campus at Bhubaneswar to celebrate the 3rd International Yoga Day. The event has been successfully orchestrated by Mr. Siba Kripa Bose, who is leading the School of Yoga.
