West Bokaro: Under the 10th edition of Tata Volunteering week, Tata Steel officials of West Bokaro Division celebrated a day with the Birhore children at Birhore Tola under Mandu block of Ramgarh district on Monday.
As part of the celebrations, along with a cake cutting ceremony, officials of Tata Steel along with their family members distributed footwear and chocolates to 40 underprivileged children at the Aanganwadi Centre. The initiative aimed at spreading happiness among the children and promote hygiene in the area with the distribution of footwear to the children.
The event was attended by Lt Colonel Bhawani Singh Nirwan, Head, Stakeholder Management, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) as chief guest along with Mr Dusyant Patel, Member, Zilla Parisad, Mr Randhir Kumar Singh, Mukhia, Barughutu East and Mr Keshav Ranjan, Unit Head, TSRDS.
The event was organized by the TSRDS under the 10th edition of Tata Volunteering week. TSRDS has lined up a series of events under this volunteering programme.
Among others present on the occasion were officials of Tata Steel and TSRDS.
