Bhubaneswar: As a part of it’s CSR activities, the Aditya Birla Group Company Hindalco at Aditya Aluminium Lapanaga has conducted a school health programme drive for over a fortnight which covered the schools of the peripheral villages at Lapanga.
This drive of the company covered 251 students out of 357 students enrolled under the School Health programme. The schools covered under the school health programme are Khadiapalli UGUP School (113 students), Tiliemal PUPS (128 students), Pondoloi UGUP (115 students) in Lapanga, Bomoloi GP respectively at Rengali block of Samabalpur district. In every school each child under went blood group detection test to know his /her blood group. Awareness sessions were also organized in every school to sensitize students on importance of good health, hygiene and good habits. Through innovative interactive sessions, the students were informed about different blood groups, importance of knowing blood group during emergencies and playing the role of a responsible citizen by giving blood when they grow up. Every student has been given a Health Card by the company which will help to monitor student health annually and know progress in BMI of the students.
The programme was attended by Mr. Bipul Chatterjee, Ms Sweta Upadhayay, Mr, Manoranjan Behera from the company. The Govt. representatives also attended the programme like Cluster Resource Coordinator, Health Master of respective Schools, SMC member.
