Bhubaneswar: Shri Rajesh Kumar takes over as Regional Executive Director of NTPC, Eastern Region – II at Bhubaneswar on 03.04.2017. He takes over the charge from Shri Arvind Kumar, who has been transferred to NTPC’s Corporate Office as Executive Director (Business Development).
Prior to this, Shri Rajesh Kumar was the Executive Director of NTPC’s largest power station, Vindhyachal Super Thermal Power Station (4760 MW), Madhya Pradesh. An Electrical Engineering Graduate from Visveswaraya Regional Engineering College, Nagpur, Shri Rajesh Kumar joined NTPC in 1979 as 4th Batch Executive Trainee.
Shri Kumar has served the Maharatna Company in various capacities at Dadri and Singrauli Power Stations besides Operation Services of Corporate Centre of NTPC, before becoming Head of the Project of NTPC’s Joint Venture at Ratnagiri (Maharashtra), Aravali Power Company Private Limited (Haryana) and Chief Executive Officer of NESCL (A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of NTPC) at NOIDA. Shri Kumar is a veteran Power Professional and brings with him rich National and International exposure in Power Sector.
