Quality Month Concludes at Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division

West Bokaro: The month-long celebrations of Quality Month at Tata Steel’s West Bokaro division concluded with a mega event on Friday at its Auditorium in West Bokaro.

Around 200 persons including employees and officers of West Bokaro Division participated in the event.
The event was graced by Mr Anurag Dixit, Chief, Quarry SE, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) along with Mr B V Sudhir Kumar, Chief, Coal Beneficiation, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Mr Mayank Sekhar, Chief, Quarry AB, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) and Mr Kajal Hota, Chief, Engineering Services, Tata Steel (West Bokaro).

A beeline of competitions was organised during the month-long celebrations including quiz, slogan, essay, drawing and poem writing competitions. The winners of these competitions were felicitated on the occasion by the dignitaries. During the closing ceremony, Participants of Sponsor Level Annual Small Group Activity (SGA) were also felicitated for their contribution towards promoting improvement culture in their respective departments.

On the occasion, MASS+ (Manthan Ab Shop Floor Se) Wave 24 with the theme ‘Material Handling and Storage’ was also launched at west Bokaro Division.

Speaking about the MASS+ Wave 24, Mr Dixit, said: “Material handling safety is applicable in all spheres of life be it mines, office or household areas. Productivity and safety are directly linked and we should use the learnings of this quality month to make a better and safe workplace.”

During the session, Mr Dwarika Prasad Khandelwal, Manager, TQM, Tata Steel (Jamshedpur) informed the audience about the MASS Wave journey of Tata Steel.
