Odisha Govt to engage 7000 trained manpower (ANMs) for Covid Care Homes

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has brought out notification for temporary engagement of 7000 trained manpower (ANMs) for Covid Care Homes covering 6798 Gram Panchayats in the State. Registered Staff Nurses/Pharmacists will be engaged in case of non availability of ANMs.

Giving importance to the safety of Healthcare Professionals and Covid Warriors, the Committee on Capacity Building and Training decided to conduct refresher training for all Healthcare professionals and Covid Warriors in all types of institutional set ups. Special focus will be given to prevent Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) at COVID and Non-COVID health facilities.

In order to ensure Infection Prevention and Control, guidelines and checklist has already been communicated to all and also available on the website of Health and Family Welfare Department.

Keeping in view COVID-19 extraordinary situation, all the services and programmes of Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disability Department (SSEPD) are made available online. This includes application for the services, processing and disposal. Persons seeking pension, marriage incentives now need not visit Government Offices.
