Bhubaneswar: In the current competitive market scenario at national and international level, it is all the more imperative for all businesses to show greater strength and courage to fight all odds and succeed in this competitive market. Government is giving all importance to trade facilitation issues. Significant work has been undertaken on ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in the country, said Governor Dr. S.C. Jamir inaugurating India International Mega Trade Fair and REDA Home Décor at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar organized by Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Real Estate Developers Association and GS Marketing Associates.
Odisha is constantly working hard and striving to be at the economic forefront of the country. The state is fast emerging as the manufacturing hub of the East in India through its industry-friendly environment and policy framework. The State has undertaken a series of initiatives to broad-base the industrial development by attracting investments across diversified sectors with significant potential. On the back of these initiatives, numerous opportunities for investments have opened up. The blend of rich cultural heritage and progressive economy are making Odisha a cynosure for investors all around the world, said Governor.
In order to keep pace with the rapid global changes, we need to constantly fine-tune the skills of our work force, Governor observed. There is an urgent need to incorporate skill development and vocational training in the process of our economic growth. The vision of inclusiveness is not just removal of poverty but it encompasses equality of opportunity, as well as economic and social mobility for all sections of society. This must be accompanied by an improvement in the opportunities for economic and social advancement, Governor added.
The trade fair is an ideal platform for the participants to enhance their visibility both locally and internationally, offering vast opportunities. This platform, Governor expressed hope, will provide an ideal opportunity for exhibitors to nurture the trust and confidence with their business counterparts and customers.
