Odisha: 108 ambulance crew rescue a pregnant walking for 2 KM

 

Bhubaneswar: Due to unmotorable road to the village an ambulance employee has walked for 2KM to rescue a pregnant women with the help of some villagers. In an incident took place in Gulelput village of Lankaphut panchayat under Sadar block of Koraput District, Padma Pukia wife of Damu Pukia felt labor pain. So her family members had called 108 ambulance. A 108 ambulance with crew members, EMT-Prabhakar Khosla, Driver-Rabi Pangi, Helper-Jaya Raut from Padwa CHC also rushed for rescue, But the ambulance couldn’t reach near the patient’s location due to unmotorable road and stopped before 2km from patient’s home. Without any further delay, the crew walked to the patient along with a stretcher and carried the patient near the ambulance with the help of locals. After boarding the patient, the crew admitted her at Nandapur CHC.
