Talcher: Continuing its efforts to provide assistance to communities around the Power Station, NTPC Talcher Kaniha distributed soaps to surrounding villages recently. In the light of Covid-19 pandemic, which has re-emphasized the importance of hand-washing to ward away the spread of any infection, the Station provided soaps to various villages like Kaniha, Kateni, Rangabeda, Kardei, Bijigol, Gadasila, Bhimkand, Lodabanda, etc.
Under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, a team of CSR officials provided soaps to the village president of respective villages to ensure necessary social distancing norms were maintained. The initiative was well appreciated by the Village Presidents as this will make sure that hygiene and sanitation is effectively maintained. The soaps will be distributed among all the families of the corresponding villages.
