Dhamra: A new police station near Dhamra Port of Bhadrak district is going to be inaugurated on 13 th of November, 2018. The meeting will be presided over by Director General of Police Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sharma. The inauguration programme will start at 9.30 am. Honorable MLA, Chandbali, Sri Byomakesh Ray, Addl SP, Eastern Region, Balasore, Shi Amitendra Nath Sinha will grace the occasion. Bhadrak SP Shri Rajesh Pandit has requested the public to attend the programme and make it a grand success. In last few days coal smuggling in Dhamra and its peripheral area has become a major issue for police as well as for the Port Authority. On the other hand in order to maintain law and order situation and to focus on Dhamra and its coastal area the Govt of Odisha has taken up an initiative to set up a new police station i.e. ‘Dhamra Police Station’ near the port premises.
