Bhubaneswar: To mark the occasion of National Farmers Day, and as a part of its CSR activities, the Aditya Birla Group Company, Aditya Aluminium had organized a mega farmers meet atlapanga in the district of Sambalpur. This meet was held at Dhorropani High School playground where more than 250 farmers participated.
The AVP-HR of Aditya Aluminium, Dr. Vivekanand Mishra graced the occasion as Chief Guest. This meet provided a forum for Government authorities, Civil Society, farmers and Corporate to reach out to each other, sharing government schemes, discussion on best practices and cash crops cultivation.
Among others, the Deputy Director Agriculture Shri DushashanPraharaj, Deputy Director Horticulture Shri Ranjan Dash Mahapatra, Senior Scientist KBK, Smt. Saswati Pattnaik, Vice Chairman Rengali Block Satyanarayan Agarwal, Shri Kishore Sutar Resource Person Horticulture from Indian Institute of Agriculture and Research, the Sarpanch of 5 GPs and Shri Satya Das from HR Deptt. of Aditya Aluminium were present in the meet.
Guests in their deliberations spoke about organic farming, Horticulture, Floriculture etc. In this meet, Successful Farmers have been felicitated by the Chief Guest. Every participant is given a sprayer as a token of appreciation.
