Bhubaneswar : As a part of its CSR activity, the Aditya Birla Group company Hindalco has organized a mega blood donation camp today in the community center of its colony at Hirakud. In this camp around 316 people donated their blood voluntarily. This program was inaugurated by Mr. Rajesh Gupta, the Head of Sambalpur Cluster wherein senior executives of the company attended and donated their blood.. While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gupta assured that Hindalco Hirakud will continue to organize such blood donation camps in future. Blood Donation is a noble work and we all should come forward to contribute to this noble cause by donating our blood, said Mr Gupta while encouraging the donors. In the beginning, the HR Cluster Head Mr K Padhi, Cluster Liasioning Head Mr A. Satyanarayan, Head of FRP Mr. Sumit Mukherjee, Head of Power Plant Mr Arun Poddar donated their blood and encouraged the donors. This has been organized on the eve of the day before of the Birthday of two legends , Mahatma Gandhi and Lala Bahadur Sastri. The consciousness programme on Giving Up of Plastic” use, conducted by the HR Deptt touched everyone’s heart on the same day.
This Camp witnessed the huge gathering and participation of Women Committee, members of Labour Unions, Medical Staff, youth workers , contract laborers union and the members of the CSR & HR Deptt. Of the company.
