Management Sector Skill Council Exclusive One Day Exclusive Rozgar Mela

Khurda: In an initiative to benefit the unemployed youth of Odisha, Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC) under the aegis of Skill India organized an exclusive Job Fair at Prafulla Palace Ground of Khurda. Eminent persons including Bhrugu Baxipatra, Member National Rubber Board as the chief guest, Pinky Pradhan Social Worker, Anil Pokhriyal, CEO, MEPSC, Ratnakar Panigrahi, State Coordinator NSDC, Maheshwar Mohanty, Managing Director, Care Security and Allied Services, Dilip Kumar Chatar, JMD, Care Security and Allied Services, Rashmin Kumar Pati, Consultant Skill Development, Jitu Mitra , Social Worker graced the occasion as the Guests of Honour. About 30 companies from across the nation participated in the job fair and employed around 3000 youths in both Management & Private Security Sector.
Enlightening the youth on the Skill India programme of Govt. Bhrugu Baxipatra, Member National Rubber Board said, “Since 2014 when Shri Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India, a lot of youth were employed under the Skill India Programme of govt. Since then Rozgar Mela has been organized in many blocks of different states of India and with this we vision to reduce the rate of unemployment in India by 2020.”
Speaking on the vision of Prime Minister of India, Ratnakar Panigrahi, State Coordinator NSDC said “The Rozgar Mela stems from the vision of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan to transform India as the skill capital of the world. In Odisha, Rozgar Mela provided an opportunity to the unemployed youth at district level to seek employment with free counseling support.”
Around 5000 candidates from across the state registered in the fair and thousands were selected for various job roles such as Office Management, Professional skills, Back-office staff, Security Guards, Security Supervisor, Health staff, Technical, Delivery staff, Machine operator, Sales executive and many more in this one-day fair. More than 20 companies including Havells, TVS, G4S, Eureka Forbes, Muthoot Microfinance, Care Security & Allied Services, Peregrine, Checkmate Security, News Nation, Yazaki, Burger King, CISS, Orion Secure and many more participated in this job fair to employ the youth of Odisha.
Speaking on the occasion Abhishek Saxena, Head of operations, MEPSC said “Skill India’s ‘Rozgar Mela’ by MEPSC is an opportunity to job seekers of Odisha to come across potential employers and employment opportunities. The job fair also offered a platform to the organizations to meet potential employees in an informal setup. The skilled youths seeking opportunities could directly contact the recruiters and HR managers of various companies“
