New Delhi: MakeMyTrip Limited (NASDAQ: MMYT) today announced the launch of EXPERIENCES that will provide consumers with highly curated and unique hyperlocal experiences that a city has to offer. The product will allow consumers to discover the city they are in better by offering them a range of leisure activities including events and hand-picked experiences at great prices on the MakeMyTrip App. In the first phase of the launch, the product has been rolled out across ten cities in India which includes top metro cities and India’s top leisure destinations.
EXPERIENCES is currently available on Android and will soon be rolled out on iOS version of the MakeMyTrip app. There are thousands of curated activities including entertainment shows, adventure sports, amusement parks, dining, outdoor activities, luxury spas, exclusive deals with restaurants and a whole lot more that consumers can choose from by selecting Price, Location, Ratings and Duration
Commenting on the launch, Rajesh Magow, MakeMyTrip Co-founder & CEO India said, “We have leveraged insights from millions of consumers about what they like at various destinations and what they value as good experience. By providing leisure activities like food walks, daycation, museum visits, sporting arenas and more, we can truly enhance in-destination experience for our users. We expect these high frequency use cases to drive even higher engagement on MakeMyTrip platform.
Travelers will also be able to make use of the My Wallet money on their MMT App to purchase these experiences. Instead of seeking best deals elsewhere, EXPERIENCES will help consumers find the best leisure activities on MakeMyTrip, managed entirely within the app and without having to rely on or being redirected to any third-party apps. Over time, EXPERIENCES will also be rolled out on our other Apps including Goibibo and redBus.
