Bhopal: Covid Care Centres are being developed on a broder scale to ensure adequate arrangement of beds for the patients with public and government support, in view of the increasing cases of Corona infection. Many social organizations are voluntarily coming forward for this on the appeal of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. the state’s largest and country’s second largest Covid Care Center is devloped at The Radha Soami Satsang Beas Ashram located on Khandwa Road in Indore. This state-of-the-art Covid Care Center built with public support is being started with 600 beds. An action plan to increase its beds capacity to 6000 has also been made.
The trial run of the largest Covid Care Center of the state was conducted on Thursday morning. Once everything goes well, the Rapid Response Team will start admitting patients. There will also be arrangements for treatment, food and entertainment of patients. Serials like Ramayana, Mahabharata will be broadcast through 10 big LEDs. The medical staff to be deployed at the center have been fully trained. Efforts will be made to provide medical facility to the patient at the center itself.
Less symptomatic / asymptomatic patients brought by the Rapid Response Team at the center and recommended by doctors, who do not have home isolation facilities in their home or patients whose health status needs to be regularly monitored, will be kept here. All necessary facilities and resources will be provided for proper treatment of patients at the center. The center is divided into four parts. Four major hospitals of Indore, Medanta Hospital, Bombay Hospital, Choitharam Hospital and Rajshri Apollo Hospital have been entrusted with the responsibility of supervision of the center. The medical staff of these hospitals will provide medical facilities at the center. Also, in case of serious conditions, patients can also be referred to other hospitals in ambulance.
Member of the State level Covid Advisory Committee, Dr. Nishant Khare said that the entire arrangements of the Covid Care Center have been made through public support. The center will be fully air-conditioned and all basic facilities from beds to food etc. will be provided by the Radha Soami Beas Ashram for the patients. Pratibha Syntex volunteered to provide for clothes and beds, Abhuday Sanstha offered to provide beds, Oxygen Plant by CREDAI and Youth CREDAI, Oxygen Concentrator by Zaveri Group and NAREDCO etc. Similarly, to ensure availability of other basic resources and facilities for better treatment of patients, 420 Papad, Sahodaya Jan Kalyan Sanstha, Nanhe Farishte, Plastic Association, Enter 10 Television Limited, Apollo DB, BCM, Sajan Prabha, Moira etc.also gave their contribuion.
Center will also have 2 oxygen plants also
Collector Shri Manish Singh said that this center will be fully equipped. Two oxygen plants costing more than Rs two crore are being built with public participation here. Their capacity will be 850 liters per minute. The CMHO has been appointed as the nodal officer. The responsibility of the Health Department in Covid Care Center has been assigned to Dr. Amit Malakar and Dr. Anil Dongre, Medical Officer of CMHO office. SDM Shri Ravi Singh, has been appointed administrative head of Covid Care Center, who will supervise all the arrangements. The authorities have also been entrusted with the arrangements for cleanliness of the Covid Care Center, housekeeping, food and drinking water arrangements and fire safety.
