Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that in the state, along with the whole country, a mega campaign of corona vaccination will start from the 21st June on International Yoga Day under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under the campaign, corona vaccine will be given free to all persons of 18+.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the vaccine is the security cycle against Corona. Therefore, not only get the vaccine and protect yourself from corona, but also motivate others to do so. With the active cooperation of all of you, the way we have controlled the second wave of Corona in the state, we will not let the third wave impact Madhya Pradesh.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing all the district, block, ward and village crisis management groups of the state through video conferencing today. The Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Mohammed Suleman and all the concerned were present in the VC.
Corona fully controlled
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona has been almost completely controlled in collaboration with everyone in the state. The positivity rate of the state has come down to 0.2%. Out of 73 thousand tests conducted today, 145 people have come positive. Only in Bhopal and Indore are corona cases in two digits. The recovery rate of the state has also increased to 98.52%.
We have to be consistently careful
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona is growing again in many countries of the world including England. We have to be constantly careful. Wearing the mask, maintaining distance, not crowding anywhere, all the precautions will be taken. The government is doing all the arrangements to fight Corona. Work is being done to increase beds in hospitals, storage of oxygen, medicines, preparing children’s wards / ICU wards etc. Crisis Management Groups must ensure that everyone follows Covid appropriate behaviour and the corona guidelines.
Do yoga and get vaccine
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that on the occasion of 21 June International Yoga Day all 18+ people who have not been vaccinated should get vaccine. On this day yoga can be done in small groups by maintaining distance. Crisis Management Groups should conduct this campaign.
Arrange to bring the elderly to the vaccination centre
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that arrangements should be made to bring the elderly to the vaccination centre. Also, go to their homes and arrange to provide the vaccine to those who are more elderly. It should be taken care that even a single dose of the vaccine is not wasted.
Vaccination mega campaign outline
Vaccination mega campaign will start from 21 June 2021 at 10 o’clock.
Campaign will be started at 7000 vaccination centres of the state simultaneously. At each centre, one important person will be sent as vaccination motivator. This person will be the well-known person of the society, such as Ministers, MLAs, other public representatives, Members of Crisis Management Group, religious leader, social workers, artists, players, writers, journalists, analysts, Padma Award recipient teachers, officers etc.
The appeal of celebrities, who have been invited as vaccine motivators, to get vaccinated will also be issued.
Invited vaccination motivator will ignite the lamp at the vaccination centre and welcome those arriving for vaccination by applying tilak on their forehead.
The groups of local workers will go the people’s houses at the local level and motivate them to get vaccinated.
The people present during the programme will be administered oath to get vaccinated themselves and to motivate other people to get vaccinated.
This programme will continue after 21st. At places where vaccination will be completed, the vaccination center will be shifted to other places.
Awareness yatras will be taken out to inspire for vaccination on July 1, 2 and 3.
