Madhya Pradesh Govt. to provide security cover to pregnant women and their unborn child

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Covid-19 vaccine is a very powerful and effective way to prevent Corona. So far more than 2.5 crore people have been vaccinated in the state. We have decided that now pregnant women and their unborn child should be provided with the protective shield of the vaccine while the vaccination campaign is on. For this, the Covid-19 vaccination session will start in the state from July 23.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed in a tweet that Covid-19 vaccination is a strong protective shield for pregnant women and their unborn child. State level vaccination is being started to protect pregnant women from getting Corona infected and to increase their immunity. In this special campaign starting from July 23, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has appealed to all sections to be active in providing security cover to pregnant women just as people had shown enthusiasm for vaccination in the past so that 100 percent target can be achieved on time.

Arrangement of extra room at vaccination centers

In a special Covid-19 vaccination campaign starting from July 23, vaccines will be administered to pregnant women at all government medical colleges, all district hospitals, civil hospitals and community health centers. Arrangements will be made for additional vaccination rooms, monitoring rooms, waiting rooms, supervision by medical officers at vaccination centers for pregnant women. Guidelines issued by the Government of India for the vaccination of pregnant women at all the centers will be strictly followed.

The effect of the third wave has to be reduced

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that possible third wave of Corona will have to be neutralized by making every effort. For this, the state government has made all arrangements in advance. In the coming days, adequate supply of oxygen will be ensured in the state. Large scale arrangements have also been made for beds in hospitals. Recruitments are being made to meet the required manpower along with the construction of medical infrastructure. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has directed all the ministers in-charge to constantly monitor the preparations being made in hospitals in their respective districts.

State’s positivity rate is 0.01 percent

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that Corona is under control to a large extent in the state. But we cannot become careless. While following guidelines of Corona appropriate behavior will also have to be adopted. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that today a total of 15 Corona positive cases have been reported in the state and 20 patients have recovered and discharged. The positivity rate has also come down to 0.01 percent. 76 thousand 879 corona tests were conducted in the state today.
