Madhya Pradesh CM pays homage to Shri Balasaheb Deoras

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today paid obeisance to Shri Balasaheb Deoras on his death anniversary. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan garlanded the picture of Shri Balasaheb Deoras at his residence. Shri Balasaheb Deoras was the third Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Shri Deoras was born on December 11, 1915 in Nagpur. His family permanently belonged to Karanja, a village close to Aam village in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. His entire education took place in Nagpur itself. He assumed the responsibility of Sarsanghchalak on June 6, 1973 after the death of Shri Guru ji. Sangh work got a new direction during his tenure. He laid emphasis on service work. As a result, thousands of service works started in the forest dwelling areas of the country including North Purvanchal. He passed away on June 17, 1996 in Nagpur.
