Angul: JSPL Foundation observed the International Day of Persons with Disabilities-2021 at its ‘Asha the Hope’ centre in Jindal Nagar, Angul. Various games were organised for the children with special needs, who are receiving therapeutic service at the Centre.
Mr. Narayan Mohapatra, DSSO, Angul; Mrs. Anita Mittal; Mrs. Anindita Bandyopadhyay; Mr. Atanu Rath, Principal OPJS; Mr. K.P. Behera, CMO of JSPL PHC; and Mrs. Puspa Satapathy, GM (CSR) witnessed the competitions and felicitated the winners. They also distributed aids and appliances like Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO) and Knee Foot Orthosis (KFO) to required children.
Children of ‘Asha the Hope’ enthusiastically participated in games like Racing, Balloon blast, soft ball throwing, Candle blowing, Chocolate race, dancing etc.
JSPL Foundation, through Asha the Hope Cenre in Odisha, Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand has been rehabilitating and mainstreaming more than 5000 children with special needs.
