Bhubaneswar: ICC Odisha state Council today announces about formation of a new committee named as ICC Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee in a press meet organized here in Hotel MayFair where 40 members of the newly formed committee also present.
ICC Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee (IWEC) is the first of its kind Women’s Committee formed by Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Odisha State Council. The ICC has formed a Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee to address the growing needs of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders. The Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee extends ICC’s core philosophy of building meaningful synergies among Industry and Government by addressing strategic issues of national significance. The Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee hopes to be a proactive, progressive body with diversified membership base, a dynamic leadership team, driven to meet the new challenges of today’s world. The core objectives of the committee are Empowerment, Education, Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Business Development.
IWEC currently has 40 enterprising women members varying from eminent business leaders running multi-core businesses to aspiring women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. The council is led by Ms Sukirti Patnaaik, Convenor of IWEC and Dr Chidatmika Khatua, Co-Convenor of IWEC along with 10 core advisory committee members. The core team will provide the transformational leadership to foster a vibrant business environment for women in the state.
ICC has planned for a mega “WOMEN’s LEADERSHIP SUMMIT” on 11thJanuary 2020 at the Hotel Mayfair Convention Hall, Bhubaneswar between 5:30pm and 8:30pm to inaugurate the ICC Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee. The leadership summit will also include felicitation of 40 women entrepreneurs, a one-to-one discussion with the chief guest, a panel discussion with eminent women leaders, a business networking session and dinner.
Ms Samantha Kochhar, Managing Director of Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Ms Ritoo Jha, Editor in Chief, Beauty Espace Media Pvt Ltd, Ms Mugdha Godse, Actress & Model and Group Captain, Indian Air Force will grace the occasion as women leaders from different fields.
The inauguration event will attract eminent business leaders, government officials, aspiring women entrepreneurs, national and state level governing members of ICC, Odisha state ICC members, governing members of IWEC, members of IWEC, media and publications
IWEC has planned for a series of events next year. These include business mela by women entrepreneurs, seminar by national business leaders, Industry visits to discern the latest processes and protocols, women entrepreneurship awards, digital marketing and brand building, networking sessions and work life balance.
