Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages felicitates students completing skill trainingat Career Development Centre,Khordha

 

Khordha: Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd (HCCBPL), today felicitated 40 studentswho completed skill training program from the Career Development Centre (CDC), Khordha. The students were presented with certificates bythe Guest of Honor Shri S.K Kar, Dy General Manger- IPICOL, Shri P.K Sahoo, Supertending Engineer- CESU In the presence of Ms.Monica Gandhi, National Head – Skill building,BibhutiBhusan Panda, Corporate Manager- Quality,Susmita Subhadarsini Behera, Zonal Public affairs and Communication- HCCBPL, Khordha plantand Vicky Paliwala, State Manager from NIIT Foundation.

Career Development Centre is an initiative of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. to empower educated, unemployed youth through skill training. CDC is aimed at bringing job oriented skill training within the easy reach of the youth, for a very affordable fee.

HCCBPL’s Khordha Career Development Centre was established in 2014. Since its inception, the Centre has successfully provided skill training to 1200youth. Over 475students, who were trained under CDC initiative, have got placed with various companieslike Big Bazar, Tatwa Technology, Brand Factory, Pantaloon, Bhubaneswar Central, Voda8fone, ,Yazki India Pvt Ltd, Aircel, First Source, Amees, Aegis,Reliance Fresh, Eureka Forbes,Karvy,Kalakuri Enterprises,Sakha Seva Sangha(NGO)etc.192out of 475youths who were placed successfully are ladies. .

Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, Guest of Honor, Mr. S.K Kar said,“ CDC is a commendable initiative of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, which not only provides a skilled pool of talent to the industry but also focuses on the India’s agenda of inclusive growth.” Mr. P.K Sahoo further added that,”This initiative is also closely aligned with government’s “Skill India” program which aims at providing training and skill development. I congratulate all the people who have successfully completed their training and have prepared themselves for opportunities in the future”.

Speakingat the felicitation ceremony, Ms. Monica Gandhifrom HCCBPL said, “It is a proud moment for us at HCCBPL to see how CDC is bridging the gap between employability and opportunity. In today’s age, it is critical for the youth to be equipped with the right skill sets to seize upon a potential employment opportunity. I congratulate all those that have graduated today and wish them the very best for future.”Mr. Bibhuti Panda, emphasized on how important is education and skilling for youth, who are the future of our country and will be participating in making the country progressive.

In addition toKhordha, currently, there are four more CDCs operational – one each atPirangut near Pune (Maharashtra),Bidadi near Bangalore (Karnataka), Dasna (UP) and Ameenpur in Hyderabad (Telangana). Each centre is equipped with modern training facilities, offering job oriented skill training in Basic IT, Service Industry and Retail imparted by certified trainers. Till date, 5,578 youthsacross all CDC centershave graduated, out of which approximately 38% are women.
