Rout breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack.
Apart from being an efficient administrator, Rout was also an eminent writer. Rout was undergoing treatment in the private hospital and was admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after meeting with a severe accident a few days back. As per reports, Rout met with the accident when a stray dog suddenly came in front of him while he was riding his bike. The video of the accident was captured by a CCTV camera installed in the nearby area. The accident had occurred in front of Cuttack Collector’s residence last Sunday. Rout was immediately admitted to the hospital in critical condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
