Jharsuguda : Under the instruction of Government of Odisha, a 110 bedded COVID hospital equipped with 10 ICU’s is going to be established at Jharsuguda and all preparations in this regard are in full swing to ensure that the hospital is operational by 24th April 2020. In a press note, the district administration today stated that in this regard an MOU was signed on 13th April 2020 with HITECH Medical College which will ensure the operationalization of the said hospital. The required doctors, staff and the medical equipment will be provided through the CSR fund by Vedanta Jharsuguda and the District Mineral Fund. The hospital is being developed at the old district headquarter hospital at Mangal Bazar.
As corporate support to fight COVID , Vedanta Jharsuguda has committed more than 2 Crore to mobilize medical equipment, beds, Ventilators and ICU beds for the upcoming COVID hospital besides other CSR activities carried out to combat against COVID .
This hospital is being developed under the aegis of Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Odisha and with active support by MP Bargarh and MLA Brajrajnagar.
