Bhubaneswar: Confederation of Indian Industry celebrates its State Annual Day today. The daylong celebration was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Capt. Divya Shankar Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Home, Energy, Industries and MSME, Government of Odisha, in the presence of Mr. Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Chairman, CII Odisha State Council, Dr. Pradipta Kumar Mohanty, Vice Chairman, CII Odisha State Council, Mr. Sanjay Singh CMD IDCO.
Inaugurating the event Capt. Divya Shankar Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Home, Energy, Industries and MSME, Government of Odisha said, “Our government is very pro Industry and now we are willing to open transparent single window to address all requirements of the industry houses. We provide the facility and we provide the infrastructure. At present scenario the biggest linked tool is Human Resource and the strongest tool is also Human Resource. Its up to us how to utilize the resource. With the resources like minerals, natural resources, skilled manpower, young talents we can be the best state in terms of industrialization and economy. it is very much achievable. We just have to think differently. The best destination for investment is Odisha. We all are working towards achieving the goal. Together we can do it and we will do it.”
Welcoming all the guests and dignitaries Mr. Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Chairman, CII Odisha State Council focused on the special membership drive that was taken as an initiative this year in which road shows were organized connecting mentors and membership induction programme on a regular basis to engage the members
Speaking on this occasion Mr. Sanjay singh CMD IDCO, said “IDCO has started developments with Industrial Park, Khurdha Food Park, then its Deras Food Park, aluminum park Angul, plastic park at Paradeep, Electronic Park at BBSR, IT park BBSR. All the statuary compliance is being obtained in this regard. Investors just need to get 2 approvals – building plan and consent to operate. Under IPR all the parks are declared as priority sector. Many Fiscal incentives are being provided by Govt of Odisha and recently we are planning to expand the existing parks and to set up more such parks in odisha. IDCO has floated RFP to study the Industrial potential in all districts of odisha. 5 new food parks will be set up across Odisha. MSME parks in all 30 districts of odisha has been planned”.
The inaugural session was followed by round table on investment climate of sectoral industrial parks of Odisha with two panel discussions.
Concluding the day the new office bearer were announced.
