Raipur : For prevention and control of corona virus infection, total 584 prisoners have been released from various jails of the state. This includes 391 prisoners released on interim bail, 154 prisoners released on parole, and 39 prisoners released on completion of the sentence period. It is noteworthy that to prevent corona virus from spreading, decision to reduce number of prisoners in the jails has been taken, so as to reduce the probability of prisoners catching the virus infection in jails. In the same sequence, these prisoners were released on April 2, on certain conditions, on interim bail and parole.
