Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel visited old age home in Mana to ensure well-being of the senior citizens there

Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today visited Mana based Government Old Age Home in Raipur, where he interacted with the elderlies and asked about their well-being. Chief Minister instructed the officials concerned to be extra careful regarding health of elderlies to keep them safe from corona infection. It is noteworthy that 26 senior citizens live in this ashram presently.
Chief Minister asked these elder people about their well-being, food habits, routine and accommodation facility. He asked them if they face any problem in the old age home. Elderlies residing in the old age home, Mr. Gangesh Bhattacharya, Mr. Chandan Choudhary, Mr. Jaiswal, Mrs. Firantin told that old age home has good food and accommodation facility. Their family members also come from time to time to meet them. As they are aware of the social distancing protocol, they practice it properly. They told that disinfectant was sprayed in the ashram. Besides, they also practice precaution of hand-washing frequently.
Chief Minister told people of old age home about how people of age above 60 years are prone to corona virus infection and why it is important to be cautious at this point of time. Chief Minister said that there is no need to be afraid of corona virus, all they need to do is to practice social distancing and avoid physical touch. Chief Minister advised the elder ones to take care of their health and cover their faces while sneezing and coughing.
On the occasion, Jila Panchayat Ex-Member Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Social Welfare Department Secretary Mr. R Prasanna, Director Mr. P Dayanand, Collector Mr. DS Bharatidasan, SSP Mr. Arif Sheikh Mohammad were also present.
