Bhubaneswar: With the objective of bringing the Govt schemes and programmes to the doorsteps of the people and in order to enable them to avail the benefits of those, Aditya Aluminium the (subsidiary company of Hindalco), in partnership with the Distt administration of Sambalpur has organised a Training cum awareness session on Vermi Compost and leveraging MGNREGS for vermi compost pit and buy back scheme at Bomoloi Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra in Lapanga.. It was attended by 50 farmers.
The resource persons were Mrs. Puspashree Naik, the Distt. Programme Manager (DPM), OLM (Odisha Livelihood Mission), Mr. Bikash Mohanty, APD (Asst. Project Director, ) DRDA, Mrs. Lipsa Mahakud, BPM, OLM, Mr. Manoranjan Barik, YP, DRDA. Mr. Ranjit Biswal, MIS & GIS, Forest Division, Sambalpur .
The same resource persons were also instrumental today in counselling more than 30 SHG women interested in leaf plate making for formation of producer group. The entire support for the same will be given by ORMAS including marketing support through OLM and forest department.
During her deliberation, Mrs. Pushpashree Naik advised the farmers to do organic farming and take the advantage of this easy process of making vermi compost and appraised them about the buy back of the same by the Govt. Addressing women . Other speakers too emphasized upon the need and the advantage of this scheme and appealed the farmers to take advantage of the same
From Aditya Aluminium, Head CSR Mrs Sweta Upadhayay, Asst. Manager- CSR, Mr. Manoranjan Behera were present and coordinated the entire session.
