82 students from MCL’s DAV schools score above 90% in class XII-CBSE

Sambalpur: Living up to their legacy of providing quality education, DAV schools of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) have brought laurels to the company with 82 of their students scoring above 90 per cent in the class 12, the results of which were announced by CBSE yesterday.

Out of 553 students of six DAV Schools spread over in Angul, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Sundergarh districts of Odisha, 238 students have scored above 80 per cent marks — 156 in Science; 76 in Commerce and 06 in Arts streams.

Master Kirty Ranjan Sahoo of MCL DAV School Dera (Talcher) was topper with 96.6 % in Science while Master Asutosh Ratha of MCL DAV School Burla (Sambalpur) scored second highest with 96.2 %.

In Commerce, Ms Prerana Agrawal of MCL DAV Dera scored the highest 96.4% while Master Abhishek Ray of MCL DAV Brajrajnagar stood second with 96.2%.

Meanwhile, student of MCL DAV Brajrajnagar Ms Mehak Bajaj topped in Arts with 92.6% marks.

MCL DAV School Burla made a distinction with one-third of its Science students scoring more than 90% marks.

In his message, MCL’s Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr Bhola Nath Shukla has congratulated all the successful students, their proud parents and teachers who have put in dedicated effort.
