51st national safety day was celebrated in IFFCO, Paradeep Unit

Paradeep: IFFCO Paradeep unit celebrated 51st National Safety Day on 4th March, 2022 for inculcating Safety awareness amongst the employees, contractors & their workers. This is the day to rededicate to all for creating the safety culture in the organization and to have safe working environment.
In the wake of this pandemic, the 51st National Safety Day was celebrated abiding by certain preventive measures such as maintaining social distancing, wearing of mask, proper sanitization and following all guidelines related to COVID-19 issued by Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
Hon’ble Chief Guest Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, IAS Director of Factories & Boilers, Govt of Odisha, Hon’ble Ms. Parul Patawari, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate Jagatsinghpur, invited guests Shri M.K.Panda Dy.Director of Factories & Boilers(Safety),Shri A.K.Naik Dy. Director of Factories & Boilers, Cuttack Division, Sh C.K.Dalai, Asst. Director of Factories & Boilers, Paradeep Zone, all employees of IFFCO, representatives of IFFCO Officers Association, IFFCO Employees Union & contract workers are assembled during the flag unfurling and oath taking ceremony on the opening day of the National Safety Week.
Shri R.K.Pandey, GM (Production, Env. &Safety) while delivering welcome speech, advice concerned to rededicate their selves for creating safety culture in the organization, to have zero accidents and to motivate their subordinates for adopting safe work culture at shop floor
Shri K.J.Patel, Unit Head in his key note address advised employees that it is our moral duty to provide clean, safe and fearless environment to our employees and contractor workers. “We should be vigilant and take utmost care while on job to avoid any untoward incidence which may results in an accident”. He further advised to use safety gadgets & equipments during work & strictly follow the safety norms to make the unit zero accident working environment.

Invited Guests Shri M.K.Panda, Dy.Director of Factories & Boilers (Safety),Odisha, Shri A.K.Naik Dy.Director of Factories & Boilers Cuttack Division, Shri C.K.Dalai, Asst. Director of Factories & Boilers, Paradeep Zone emphasized on all employees rededicating themselves for creating a safety culture in the organization to have zero accidents & to motivate their subordinate and colleagues for adopting safe work culture at shop floor. They expressed their satisfaction on IFFCO’s achievement of 2021 accident free man-days till date. He advised all the employees & contract workers to continue the same spirit.
Honourable Chief Guest Dr. N.Thirumala Naik, IAS Director of Factories & Boilers, Govt. of Odisha, Invited Guest Ms. Parul Patawari, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate Jagatsinghpur expressed their happiness on IFFCO’s achievement as winner of National Safety Award for outstanding achievement in safety management by DGFASLI, Govt.of India. They also expressed their satisfaction on IFFCO’s achievement of accident free man-days. They cautioned everyone to be vigilant while on the job to avoid any accident.
An exhibition of Fire & Safety gadgets was also organized for guests, all employees, contractor workers and use of these gadgets were explained by F&S staff to guests, employees as well as contractor workers to carry out the jobs safely.
Shri R.K.Swain JGM (F&S) presented the Annual Safety Report and expressed hope for an accident free year ahead.
