Bhubaneswar: Odisha Youth Conclave-2018 has been organized successfully by EVER GREEN FORUM at Jayadev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar. Hon’ble Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare and Cooperation Minister Mr Surya Narayan Patro inaugurated this mega youth event as Chief Guest. In his speech, he explained the importance of Youth for the development of society. Among others, Odisha NCC Deputy Director General Commodore Shailendra Singh, former chairperson od State Social Welfare Board Smt. Sulata Deo and former Regional Director of National Service Scheme (NSS) Mr.Pradeep Kumar Patnaik were also present as Guests of Honour. Founder and President of EVER GREEN FORUM Er Prakash Chandra Jena presided this event. A souvenir YUVA was released by the Guests. Mr Madhusudan Das, State Convener of National Youth Project was awarded with Lifetime Achievement Odisha Youth Award for his life time contribution for youth development. Before the inaugural ceremony, a panel discussion was organized on the theme ‘Role of Youth in achieving Sustainable Development Goals’. Mr Bhrigu Bakshipatra, General Secretary of BJP, BJD leader Smt. Sulata Deo, State Congress Spokesperson Dr. Biswa Ranjan Mohanty, former NSS regional director Dr Pradeep Patnaik and CEO of Tatwa Technologies Ltd Mr Ayaskanta Mohanty participated in this event as panelists. Mrs Supriya Dash, News Anchor of Naxatra News coordinated this panel discussion. Human right activist Mr. Manoj Jena, International Athlete Amiya Mallick, International Scuba Diver Sabir Bux, FICCI Odisha Assistant Director Ms. Pinky Poddar, Odisha Diary Editor in Chief Mr Rashmi Ranjan Parida, News Anchor Supriya Dash, Social activist Safaque –e- Aftab, Dr Biswashree Gyanranjan Nayak, Dr Prem Ranjan Ojha, Singer Dr Jayashree Dhal, Dr. Nalinikanta Mishra, Sekh Abdul Samim, Mr Rajeeb Pattanayak were awarded the prestigious Odisha Youth Award 2018. Also 26 students were awarded with Swami Vivekananda Prativa Puraskar 2018 for their excellent performance in various activities like in NCC, NSS, Youth Red Cross, Bharat Scouts & Guides and Grass root social work etc. Dr Subhendu Kumar Pani, Vice President of Forum extended vote of thanks at the end.
