US Ambassador Kenneth Juster apologises to India after Mahatma Gandhi’s statue vandalised in Washington DC

New Delhi: US Ambassador to India Kenneth Juster on Thursday apologised over a shocking incident of vandalism of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Washington DC.

In a tweet, Kenneth Juster said, ‘so sorry to see the desecration of the Gandhi statue in Washington DC’. Please accept our sincere apologies.

The Ambassador said, he is appalled as well by the horrific death of George Floyd and the awful violence and vandalism.

He said, US administration stand against prejudice and discrimination of any type. Kenneth Juster said, we will recover and be better.
