Anugul: The Udyog Samasya Samadhan Sibir (USSS) meeting on Promotion of Ancillary and Downstream Industries was held today at S&P Complex, NALCO, Angul. The Sibir was chaired by Sri L.N. Gupta, ACS, MSME Department, and attended by 72 nos. of entrepreneurs. Variety of grievances relating to Ancillary Industries , MSMEs Vendors, Industries allotted in Industrial Estate, PMEGP beneficiaries, Fly Ash units etc. were discussed and redressed on the spot. It is mentioned that NALCO has 55 Ancillary Industries which supply various components, spares and services to NALCO. Sri R.K. Mishra, Executive Director, (S&P), NALCO Angul intimated that they are purchasing materials worth 160 crores and services worth 182 crores annually for the S&P complex. Purchase from MSMEs last year was worth 29 crores. During the current year they have already procured materials worth 12 crores and services worth 57 crores from the vendors/suppliers of Odisha. It was informed that NALCO have identified 180 items to be procured from MSMEs. Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department, Government of Odisha requested the local Industries Associations and all the entrepreneurs present to accept the challenge for supplying maximum goods & services from Odisha itself. He suggested NALCO to undertake at least 4 Vendor Development Programmes annually with special focus for the Development of Women, SC/ST & Differently Abled entrepreneurs. The suggestion was accepted by Sri Mishra, E.D, (S&P), NALCO, Angul. CGM(MSME), IDCO informed that the land acquisition for 2nd Industrial Estate over an area of 134 acres near village Tulsipal is under progress. Collector & District Magistrate, Angul Sri Anil Kumar Samal informed that advance possession of the land will be handed over to IDCO within a period of one month. The representatives of local industries added that development of the 2nd Industrial Estate is urgently needed to meet the requirement of existing and new entrepreneurs. CGM(MSME) IDCO also informed that the Angul Aluminium Park over an area of 223 acres near NALCO is already under development and 04 enterprises have already been given provisional allotment of land. Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department, Government of Odisha requested IDCO to expedite development of Angul Aluminum Park as well as Industrial Estate to facilitate development of MSMEs in Angul-Talcher region. LDM and Bankers were requested to expedite sanction and disbursement of assistance under PMEGP. Some of grievances of PMEGP applicants were also redressed, entrepreneurs were also requested to take advantage of the provisions under Odisha MSME Development Policy and Odisha Food Processing Policy. Additional Chief Secretary, MSME Department Government of Odisha requested all the entrepreneurs to register their units under Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum ( UAM ), Government e-Market Place (GeM) and Zero Effect – Zero Defect (ZED). Around 20 entrepreneurs were also exposed to the process of the registration on-line for UAM, GeM and ZED on the spot. Both NALCO Authorities and Entrepreneurs also requested to register their employees under 4 week Learning & Development Programme (L&D) available on-line (startupodisha.gov.in) Progress of 2 Clusters namely Engineering and Fly Ash Brick was reviewed. Whereas DSRs of both the clusters have been prepared and SPVs have been formed, progress is held up for want of possession of land by the SPVs. CGM,MSME IDCO assured to make the land available for the cluster at the earliest. ACS, MSME Deptt. instructed the GM, DIC to ensure submission of the proposal for funding of both the clusters under MSE- CDP scheme to Govt. of India before the end of January 2018. Collector & District Magistrate, Angul assured to conduct the Special Grievance Redressal Camp for Industry and entrepreneurs on 25th of every month.
