Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel reviewed the current status of corona infection in 10 districts of the state, prevention measures and arrangements made for the treatment of patients in a virtual meeting held at his residence office here today. Chief Minister instructed all the collectors to conduct strict testing of the passengers coming from outside at airport, railway stations, bus stands and inter-state borders and keeping them in quarantine center, isolation and sending them to the hospital as required. Chief Minister said that the officials and employees of the administration, medical staff and representatives of various organizations are working very hard for prevention of corona infection. In such a situation, it is necessary that after testing the migrants coming from outside at the checkpoint, the infected people should be identified and appropriate treatment should be provided so that the infection does not spread further from these people.
Chief Minister said that in the rural areas where more infection cases are coming up, in such villages, arrangements should be made for conducting special campaigns to test every person, keeping them separate, and their monitoring. Those engaged in making arrangements for quarantine and home isolation should be advised via telemedicine. For this, the control room should be made functional. Instructing to strictly follow the lockdown, he said that there should be no crowd in squares. Inter-state borders adjoining all districts should be sealed. He also directed that strict action should be taken against those who are spreading propaganda. It should be ensured that health workers and frontline workers strictly follow the guidelines of Covid-19 to avoid infection. Also, special care should be taken that the commendable work being done by health workers, frontline workers and social organizations gets widely publicized. So that atmosphere of negativity is not created.
Chief Minister said that social organizations, industrialists and business people are also cooperating with the administration in this time of crisis. We are constantly in touch with them, collectors should also keep communicating with people from different sections from time to time. It should also be kept in mind that there should be no disturbance in meeting the essential needs of the general public. He instructed the senior officers of the Health Department to make sure that the availability of essential medical devices including testing kits, oxygen cylinders, Remedisvir and necessary medicines is continuous. Black marketing of essential medicines should be strictly prohibited. In all districts, medical staff should be recruited according to need immediately.
Chief Minister in a virtual meeting of 10 districts Raipur, Durg, Bemetra, Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarh, Balodabazar, Jashpur and Korba districts, reviewed availability of oxygen beds, availability of oxygen cylinders, treatment of patients, necessary medicines including Remedisvir injection, arrangement of necessary equipment from CSR items and other items. He gave necessary instructions to all collectors regarding the continuous supply of oxygen cylinders in their respective districts, storage of essential medicines, intensive testing operations in industrial and mining areas. Chief Minister said that the second strain of virus is getting infected faster and it is also taking more time for the patients to recover. Keeping this in mind, ensure every necessary arrangement for prompt treatment of patients in the districts. Health Minister Shri T.S. Singhdeo instructed to ensure all the arrangements as per the requirement in all the districts. He informed about the status of infection of Covid-19 in the state and progress of vaccination.
Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain and Chief Minister’s Secretary Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi were present at the Chief Minister’s residence during the meeting. Additional Chief Secretary Health Smt. Renu G Pillay, Additional Chief Secretary Home Shri Subrata Sahoo, concerned IGs, Collectors of all the districts and SPs attended the meeting through video conferencing.
