Senior Officers to visit District & Supervise programme implementation says Odisha Agriculture Minister

Bhubaneswar: The State Government is implementing a good numbers of schemes and programmes for the benefit of farmers to improve the status of farmers and Agriculture in the State. Agriculture Minister Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo chaired a review meeting on 17.06.2019 at Krushi Bhawan and instructed the nominated officers to visit the districts allotted to them and supervise the programme implementation in the districts. He also instructed that besides field visit, the concerned officer
should discuss with field officers and workers so as to find out the difficulties in proper implementation of programmes and guide them suitably. They may make random visit to villages and GPs within the districts to verify the actual implementation. They should start the visit from June and
submit report immediately after completion of the visit.

The Directorates should also nominate their senior officers to visit district and supervise the programme implementation related to the concerned Directorates in the district. It may be pointed out that 10 Senior Officers are assigned to visit 3 districts each during June 2019. The Director Agriculture & Food Production, Director, Horticulture & Director, Soil Conservation & Watershed appraised about different schemes and programmes implemented by the respective
Directorates in the meeting.
