Bhubaneswar Fashion’ Miss Raja Diva: Fashionably Breaking Stereotypes

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar, A crowd of over 200 Bhubaneswar Fashion’s community members engaged in the celebration of womanhood and the last day of Raja (sesha raja) by participating in the Miss Raja Diva event. The crowd size was double than the anticipated numbers as the venue was filled with participants from across Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Cuttack, Balasore, Sambalpur, Puri and Jatni attending the event.

Participants from all walks of life and neighbourhoods enlisted in the event as the selection was based on their personalities rather than perfect genetics. Bhubaneswar Fashion’s Miss Raja Diva broke barriers as it included participants who were disabled and yet wanted to express themselves through fashion and art.

Out of 100 participants, top 30 made it to the finals amongst who Rudrangi hailing from Bhubaneswar won the title of Miss Raja Diva 2019. Miss Saani Panda & Minakshi Priyadarshini became runners up to the event. The winner received prizes worth rupees 30,000 which included a diamond ring from the event jewellery partner Rithvika Gold and several deliverables from event partners- Utkalamrita, Wok on and BBI.

Artists, influences, designers and photographers collaborated via this event which solidified the ideology of free collaboration that Bhubaneswar fashion had always strived towards. the range of collaborations during and post-event were extraordinarily good which stood a testimonial to the fact that Bhubaneswar Fashion became a platform for free expression for unheard voices. Bhubaneswar Fashion’s Miss Raja diva has officially become the first free collaboration and a revolutionary beauty pageant event for in Odisha.
