SBI come forward for helping the victims affected by cyclone Fani through various initiatives and relief measures

Bhubaneswar: SBI has come forward for helping the victims affected by cyclone Fani through various initiatives and relief measures. Relief and rehabilitation camp was organised on 5th June 2019 at Puri SBI Holiday Home, the worst affected district during the cyclone.
Shri P. K. Gupta, Managing Director, SBI, Mrs. Praveena Kala, CGM, SBI, Shri C M N Charyulu General Manager (Network-I), SBI, Shri Bejoy Kujur General Manager(Network-II), SBI , attended the camp. Shri Gupta also inaugurated the ATM at Puri SBI Holiday Home which was destroyed during Fani.
Shri Gupta explained that all branches and ATMs wherein electricity is available in the affected area are functioning normally. He said that now it’s the time to rebuild Odisha and SBI is a partner in process. In the process SBI has already provided more than 11,000 loans to Customers for rehabilitation and resuming their livelihood activities in Fani affected districts. SBI also provided more than 1300 loans to Self Help Groups(SHGs), over 8000 Agri loan plus PMEGP and MUDRA Loans. More over SBI has restructured 200 loans to Small and medium Enterprises and House Building Loans. SBI proposed to provide loans to 500 fishermen for purchasing boats and nets.
Shri Gupta expressed that SBI is committed to serve the people of Odisha. He also committed to provide 19000 mosquito nets to District Authorities for further delivery to the affected victims in Puri. SBI has also decided to plant 15000 trees in the affected areas and each Branch of SBI in Odisha will plant 100 trees during the Monsoon season.
