Jagatsinghpur : Off-Site Disaster Mock Drill organized by IFFCO Paradeep Unit in association with District Administration, Jagatsinghpur on Dtd.03.08.2021 at about 14.30 Hrs. in pursuance to Rule-9 (g) “The Chemical Accidents (Emergency Planning, Preparedness and Response) Rules, 1996.The scenario was “Ammonia gas leakage from cross country pipeline connecting from Paradeep Port (IFFCO Jetty) to IFFCO Plant (near TP-3 of Nehru Bunglow Approach Road) during unloading of liquid ammonia from ship”.All the precautionary measures were taken and leakage was controlled by providing the clamping on pipeline with the help of water curtain.
On this occasion, Chief Guest Dr.K.C.Dhir, ADM Paradeep, Shri C.K.Dalai, Asst. Director of F&B, Paradeep Zone, Sri D.K.Dash, Regional Officer, OSPCB, Paradeep Zone ,Sri K.J. Patel, Sr. Executive Director of IFFCO Paradeep Unit, Sri S.D.Sharma GM (Maint.& Utility), Sri R.K. Pandey, GM (Prod., E&S), Sri R.K.Swain DGM (F&S),Shri Sudhir Kumar Deputy Commandant CISF,Shri Vinay Kumar Sub Inspector NDRF, Shri R.K.Mishra, IIC Paradeep, Shri Rajesh Kumar Sahoo Inspector CISF, Shri Pradeep Kumar Kar, Safety Officer PPT, Officers from mutual-aid industries, terminals (IOCL Refinery, PPL, PPT, BPCL, HPCL, IOCL Terminal, Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel),CISF-PPT, All the senior officials along with Fire & Safety officers with fire crew and other Safety Officers were present during the mock drill. All key personnel gave their valuable observations / suggestions as well as took part in post mock drill discussions in detailed with the key personnel at the emergency control centre situated near TP-3.
