ABOUT THE ODISHA LIVING LEGEND AWARDS
Odisha Living Legend Awards organised by Orissadiary.com (Odisha Media Info Service Private Ltd) and Odisha Diary Foundation has become an integral part in the event calendar for Odisha. Established by Odisha Diary (OD) in 2011, Odisha Living Legend Awards, is a novel way to acknowledge and honour great contributions to the state of Odisha. In 2012, this ceremony added another feather to its cap by introducing awards for inspired young minds to connect the youth force with the living legends of our state and build future legends. In 2013, the team started OdishaInc Awards to recognise great and inspiring initiatives in the business sphere of Odisha. On the occasion of Odisha Living Legend Awards 2015, the Odisha Diary team made yet another attempt to connect Odisha with the country and the world by starting the Living Legend Oration Series.
This year we introduce Waves n Vibes dialogue series to celebrate this creative spirit of the Odisha and commemorate the intellectual diversity it offers, bringing it in conversation with the best minds in the world of literature within and outside Odisha and India. Academics, authors, political and social activists, law makers, government officials, corporate leaders, students and people from all walks of life will immerse in the vibrant atmosphere of the festival and exchange opinions on their favourite authors and works.
At the times of increasing glocalisation we are at a critical juncture that needs sharing of experiences and inspiring stories to learn, collaborate, customise and replicate. This process needs a healthy dialogue between the doer and the thinker between the analyst and the policy maker, between the citizen and the leader and between the legends and the next generations. In 2015 topic of Living Legend Oration on Human Creativity and Culture. Dr. Pratibha Ray was Key note speaker , Sweden based world famous artist Dr. PK Mahanandia as speakers.
