Odisha Govt suspended Classroom teaching for Classes IX, XI due to the surge of Covid-19 cases

Bhubaneswar: In view of the soaring Covid-19 cases, the State Government on Wednesday announced suspension of Classes-IX and XI in all schools across the State.

The suspension would be applicable to Government, Government-aided and private schools and come into effect from Thursday, School and Mass Education Secretary Satyabrat Sahu said.

“The students of these two classes residing in hostels, residential Schools are allowed to go back home immediately. If required, schools may take up online classes,” Sahu said.

However, he said the Classes-X and XII would continue till April 25 as the students of these two classes would be appearing for the Board and Council examinations.
