Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik’s dream project Gurupriya bridge nearing completion

 

Report by Kishor Dash; Bhubaneswar,: The much awaited Rs.172 crore mega under construction 910- meter long Gurupriya bridge over river Janbai in the cut-off region, better known be the dream project of the Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik is certainly nearing the completion if the work done by the Kolkotta based Royal Infraconstru Limited till now taken into consideration.

Kolkotta based Royal Infraconstru Limited who hs been given the project execution work has already been completed the laying of all the 136 piles,21 piers and most importantly two abutments at the ends of the bridge span whereon the superstructure rests. Of the 910 meter long bridge, 620 meter deck slab casting has also been completed, claimed the Kolkotta based Royal Infraconstru Limited Project Manager Niranjan Kumar to this OrissaDiary Senior Editor adding the company which better known for providing affordable and sustainable solutions is doing its best to provide quality work while accelerating the pace of work.

Of the total 48 numbers of Pre-stressed concrete Girders, we have already erected 45 and the work on the remaining three is on progress, Kumar added. Fifteen of the total 18 steel Girders to be erected in the deep water zone from P11 to P17 have arrived at the site from Raipur of which the erection work of 6 has already been completed despite of being a tough task and work for the erection of the three is on progress. The erection work for the rest of the 9 still girders will be followed, he said.

All the three Pres-Stressed Concrete Girders between P10-P11 which were collapsed due to heavy wind pressure have been replaced with new ones in their place. This apart, the 1250 meter approach road on the Papermetla side of the Guirupriya Bridge is also on full swing, Kumar added.

We are on the job to complete the bridge work at earliest for the benefit of the people while adhering the company’s core principle of maintaining quality and durability, said Kolkotta based Royal Infraconstru Limited Project Coordinator Ushnish Dutta who is coordinating the project work to this leading news portal..

We are eagerly waiting for the early completion of the bridge and seeing the pace of work we are confident that our decade long wait will be over soon,said Budu Hantal of Papermetla village.
