SJTA decided to impose restriction on use of camera mobile phones by servitors in Shree Jagannath temple

Bhubanewar: Puri temple Chhatisha Niyog decides to restrict use of smartphone by servitors on temple premises. This was decided at a meeting chaired Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief Pradeep Jena.
The servitors and temple staffs would be allowed to use non-camera mobile phones and they would be provided with special feature phones and Closed User Group (CUG) numbers, informed Jena. The SJTA would also provide logos to be put on these phones, he added.
It should be noted that recently a selfie by tourists in the temple premises had gone viral on social media.
