Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday extended his support to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for her Ministry’s help to a couple in renewing passport and denounced offensive tweets against her.
“Strongly denounce the vitriolic & intolerant responses to @SushmaSwaraj ji.
She has been a leader in using social media to help common citizens of the country. Such conduct must be strongly condemned,” Tweeted the Chief Minister.
The Union Minister has been targeted with offensive tweets for her Ministry’s help given to a couple, Tanvi Seth and Mohammad Anas Siddiqui and they complained to her about humiliation when they went for passport renewal.
An officer allegedly harassed Tanvi Seth for not changing her name and also taunted her husband saying he should change his religion.
