Bhubaneswar: After registering outstanding Financial Results of the first quarter of FY 2018-19, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna CPSE under ministry of Mines, Govt of India, has taken yet another innovative step to rope in all business partners like top executives of Joint Venture companies, customers, suppliers and other business stakeholders in one platform: the All India Partners Summit held on 9th August 2018 in Bhubaneswar. The programme was organized to felicitate the partners, customers and vendors from across the country for their continued support to the company in its business success.
Shri Anil, Mukim, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Govt of India, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, appreciated NALCO’s initiative to reward and recognize its stakeholders. “Navratna company NALCO is constantly registering high performance during the last three years in terms of production, productivity, profitability and people engagement. Apart from the efforts of the management and employees, the role of the stakeholders is also very crucial in achieving an ever-growing track record of success. This All India Partners Summit would definitely encourage the stakeholders of the company who have been associated with NALCO for a long time,” said Shri Mukim.
In his address, Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO, congratulated all the stakeholders of the company and attributed company’s success in the Q1 of FY 2018-19 to their support. “This All India Partners Summit and Award Ceremony for the stakeholders is a humble way to recognize our stakeholders,” said Dr. Chand.
During the function, 36 partners, customers and vendors of NALCO were felicitated with NALCO Sahbhagi Utkarsh Puraskar, NALCO Grahak Utkarsh Puraskar and NALCO Bikreta Utkarsh Purskar respectively. Among others, GACL, MCL, ECoR, NINL, MIDHANI,GRIDCO, IDCOL and partners from abroad were also felicitated. Shri Prafulla Mallick, Minister of Steel & Mines, Govt of Odisha handed over the NALCO Sahbhagi Utkarsh Puraskar to the top executives of partner companies and Shri Anil Mukim gave away the NALCO Grahak Utkarsh Puraskar.
On the occasion, the logo of NALCO ki Ladli programme was officially launched. The NALCO ki Ladli programme has been initiated by NALCO, in line with the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme of Govt of India, with a view to support the talented girl students from BPL families to pursue their studies.
The latest edition of ‘Sanginee’, the quarterly magazine of NALCO Mahila Samiti was also released on the occasion by Smt. Archana Mukim and Smt. Preeti Roy, in the presence of the members of NALCO Mahila Samiti.
The programme started with an invocation Odissi dance performance. A special cultural programme ‘Anup Jalota Nite’ also marked the occasion wherein, Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota made the audience spell-bound with his bhajans and ghazals. Shri Mahaprasad Kar and Ms. Nazia Alam also performed during the occasion. Shri Anup Jalota was highly appreciative of Nalco’s effort in cultural promotion of the state of Odisha.
