Sambalpur: Ms Maya Chintamn Ivnate, Member, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) having status of Secretary to the Government of India, visited Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) here today.
Ms Ivnate, who was on one-day visit to MCL headquarters, reviewed the status of welfare measures, housing, promotions as well as entry level employment of scheduled tribe in the company.
At separate meetings held with All India SC, SC, OBC Employees Coordination Council, Coal India SC, ST Employees Association and the Functional Directors of MCL, Ms Ivnate also gave suggestions for further betterment of employees of ST category.
