Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance department of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) conducted an awareness drive against corruption with integrity pledge ceremony today at Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS) premises. Shri Munawar Khursheed, IRPF, CVO of MCL was the chief guest of this ceremony while Prof. (Dr.) H K Satpathy, Vice-chancellor, Shri R N Das, (Retd. IAS), Secretary, Shri Julius Lakra, Registrar and Dr. P. K. Rout, CEO from KISS University; Shri Sandeep Raj, CVO, CMPDI, Shri Rajendra Agrawal, CVO, ECL were also present on the dais as distinguished dignitaries.
At the outset of the celebration, all the dignitaries lighted the lamp and inaugurated the ceremony. Shri R N Das, (Retd. IAS) gave the welcome address while Prof. (Dr.) H K Satpathy, Vice-chancellor, and Shri Munawar Khursheed, IRPF, CVO of MCL pitched up their address to the gathering.
Addressing the ceremony, Shri Munawar Khursheed, CVO, MCL said that this would act as a multiplier effect as one student can influence the other students also. Shri Khursheed was confident also that since the children are the future citizens of India the dream of the father of the nation for a corrupt free India would be fulfilled by these students.
In the other part of this awareness drive, Integrity Pledge was administered by Ms. Mandakini Majhi, a renowned international Khokho player to around 5000 students of the institute. Then integrity pledge certificates were distributed to the faculty members and students of KISS University.
Eventually, Dr. P K Routray, CEO of the institute gave the vote of thanks and lauded the efforts of MCL. He also assured that every student would be a torch bearer in the mission of corruption free India.
