Madhya Pradesh’s Amarkantak achieved the target of 100% corona vaccination

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has congratulated the religious and tourism city of Amarkantak in Anuppur district for having 100 percent COVID-19 vaccination. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Amarkantak city has set an example for other cities with the participation of all sections in the vaccination campaign to prevent corona infection, where the first dose of the vaccine has been administered to 4732 persons.

Collector Ms. Sonia Meena informed that in the district, people of 18 to 44 years, 45 to 59 years and above 60 years of age are being enthusiastically vaccinated against Kovid-19. There are 15 wards in Amarkantak, the Municipal Council of the district, in which 5055 voters are registered according to the assembly election voter list. Of these, the first dose of corona vaccine has been administered to 4732 people. Vaccine could not be administered due to remaining 47 persons suffering from the disease and 245 persons residing outside the city. 32 persons included in the voter list have died.

Local citizens along with public representatives, social workers, corona volunteers, government employees, media colleagues have played an active role in the vaccination work in Amarkantak. The Chief Municipal Officer of the Municipal Council Amarkantak has issued 100% corona vaccination (1st dose) work completion certificate.
